Shipping
Film orders: return shipping is $5.00 for the first roll and $0.50 for each additional roll, insured and tracked.
Store orders:most orders over $250 ship free within the contiguous United States. Orders that don't qualify ship at a flat $13.95 — where an oversized or freight item costs more to ship, we'll quote the difference before anything moves. Shipping totals are calculated after rebates and discounts; gift cards, freight charges, duties and taxes don't count toward the $250.
Not eligible for free shipping:
- Seamless background paper and anything 9′ wide or greater
- Hazardous chemicals (some chemistry can't ship at all — ask us)
- Special orders, pre-orders and back-orders
- Deliveries to PO boxes
We ship nationwide, including Alaska, Hawaii and US territories; we don't ship internationally. Free store pickup at either shop — most pickup orders are ready in about 30 minutes. Shipping and customs fees are nonrefundable.
Returns
We accept returns and exchanges up to 14 days from the original purchase, with the original receipt, in original, unopened, new condition with all accessories, manuals and packaging. Damaged or missing-parts claims must be made within 2 business days of purchase.
The easy way: bring the item and receipt to either store — 308 W Broad St, Quakertown PA or 26 Main St, Flemington NJ — and we'll sort out an exchange, credit or refund at the counter.
By mail: contact us for a Return Authorization first (issued within 3 business days by email), pack the item with the printed authorization, and send it insured and traceable to Black Lab Imaging, Attn: Returns, 26 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Mail-in returns and exchanges are processed within 2–5 business days of arrival.
Not returnable:
- Labor, services and film processing
- Consumables — film, paper, chemistry, bulbs, inks, tapes, memory cards, batteries, software
- Items showing use or wear, microphones, PPE
- Special orders, limited editions, and clearance items
Where free shipping was given, actual shipping costs are deducted from the refund unless the return is our mistake. Verified defective items are repaired, exchanged or refunded at our discretion, and return shipping on those is on us.

Privacy
We don't sell your data. Your negatives are yours; so is your information.
What we collect: whatever you put in the contact form (so we can answer you), order details when you buy from us or send film (name, contact info, shipping address, payment handled by our payment processors — we never store card numbers), and a mobile number only if you opt in to text updates. We keep basic, anonymous traffic statistics for this site; no ad trackers.
Your images are your property. Nobody here looks at your photos beyond what quality control requires, and we never use customer images for anything without written permission. Scans are held on our own servers for pickup windows and then purged.

SMS
Black Lab Imaging sends text messages to customers who have opted in to receive order updates, payment reminders, and promotional offers.
How we collect consent: verbally, when you place an order in person or by phone and provide your mobile number, or via an online order form when you explicitly check the box for text updates. We do not send marketing messages to customers who have not opted in.
What you may receive: order status updates (ready for pickup, shipped), payment reminders and secure payment links, account notifications, and — only if you opted in — promotional offers. Frequency varies with your order activity; most customers receive 1–4 messages per order.
Opting out:reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You'll get one final confirmation and nothing further. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact customerservice@blacklabimaging.com.
Message and data rates may apply; Black Lab Imaging is not responsible for carrier charges. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and most US carriers. Your mobile number is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes — see Privacy above.
